Steve Noakes

Steve has worked in industrial safety solutions for most of his professional career – and the majority of this at Pyroban.

After completing a degree in Mechanical Engineering in Brighton, England, and gaining practical experience in industry, Steve began his managerial journey as Engineering Manager at Pyroban in the 1990’s.

With a clear focus on building team dynamics to support customer needs he helped Pyroban grow through operational efficiencies and quality systems spanning multiple sites in Europe. This soon led to Steve relocating to become the Engineering Manager for a Pyroban operation in China.

Returning to the UK as Operations Director, Steve helped transition the operation under the new ownership of Caterpillar Inc. until it was divested in 2017. Under new private ownership Steve ascended to the role of Managing Director with a focus on product quality, operational efficiencies and customer experience to drive stable, long term profitability.

Steve’s vision was to expand the product and service offerings beyond Pyroban’s traditional core business, leading to the Pioneer Safety Group being formed. As Managing Director, Steve is leading the Group to realise its full potential and continues to nurture a positive workplace culture across the group, drive product development, quality, efficiencies and deliver shareholder value.
