Stephen Burns

Stephen studied Design Technology and Business at Plymouth University in the 1990’s before gaining practical experience in industry as a Project Manager. For nearly a decade Stephen provided design and technical support for time, temperature and pressure controls for the automotive, heating, air conditioning and refrigeration industries.

Stephen then joined Invensys, a control systems company, as Development Manager until he saw an opportunity with Pyropress in Plympton, UK.

In 2012 Stephen joined Pyropress as General Manager and established an impressive track record developing the business and supporting the integration with Caterpillar Inc. He soon progressed to his current position as Managing Director and lead the team through divestment to private equity ownership.

Stephen’s focus on robust product quality, manufacturing efficiencies and building strong partnerships with an active global distribution network has led to continuous long term profitability.
